Paris Sports

Paris Sports

Sport is certainly an overlooked side of Paris.

You may know that the Roland Garros tennis tournament in June and the Tour de France cycling race, with its final stage on the Champs Elysées to the end of July.

What about the major international marathon Paris (right on the Champs-Elysees) in April and the Paris Masters (Paris Tennis Open) in November?

You can go to a football game at the Parc des Princes stadium, with its football team PSG. The Bercy indoor stadium stages many major sporting events.

Paris also has a world-class stadium, Stade de France. It was the venue for the Football World Cup France 98 (France beat Brazil 3 / 0).

The Stade de France was the venue for the 2007 Rugby World Cup final (South Africa against England).

On top of these first-class sporting events, it is always possible to practice sport in Paris: swimming pools, tennis courts, sports and fitness centers like Aquaboulevard are available everywhere.

Many people jog in Paris parks and forests. With Velib, it is now possible to rent a bike and simply everywhere in Paris, combining sports and sightseeing.

Enjoy "Sports in Paris".
